Powerco has transitioned to this management system and requires all contractors to be fully compliant, including the upload of all Training and Qualification (TQ) documents.

Calibration is the process of comparing an instrument’s measurements to a known standard to ensure accuracy and reliability.

Many people perform a simple field comparison between two meters and consider them “calibrated” if they provide the same reading. However, this is not true calibration; it’s simply a field check. While it may indicate that there is a problem, it does not confirm which meter is accurate.

At Wire and Fitness Ltd, we use the Transmill 2080 calibration device, which offers a quick and efficient method for regularly verifying commonly used electrical test equipment. This portable, cost-effective tool is ideal for both on-site and off-site use. It is specifically designed to verify RCD Testers, Earth Loop Testers, Insulation and Continuity Testers, as well as combined or multi-function installation testers.

The Transmill 2080 helps identify faulty instruments and test leads, ensuring the safety of workers during isolation and testing procedures.
